CATEGORY A SCHOOLS IN GHANA

 All senior high schools in Ghana are grouped into categories. These categories are; Category A, Category B, Category C, Category G, Category E and Category F. The schools are categorised according to the school's facilities, population and academic performance. 

Some Category A schools include;

  • Aburi Girls' senior high school 
  • Achimota school
  • Accra Academy 
  • Ghanata secondary school
  • Holy child high school
  • Mfantsiman Girls senior school
  • Pope John senior high school 
There are 7 public senior high schools which are in the Category A in Accra.

CHILD BILINGUAL INSTITUTE  This is one of the best schools in Accra. It is located adjacent Zenith college. The school starts at 7: 30am and closes at 5: 00pm  There is a pre-school section that teaches French and Ga language.  There is also primary and JHS.  This school teaches students programming, Ai amd robotics as part of its curriculum enabling them to take part in an annual international competition.  They also focus on Art as a language since it fosters creativity in children .
